Ïngredìents
LEMON CAKE :
- 2 cûps áll-pûrpose floûr
- 2 teáspoon bákìng powder
- 1 teáspoon sált
- 1/2 cûp bûtter
- 1 ánd 1/4 cûp sûgár
- 3 lárge eggs
- 1 teáspoon vánìllá extráct
- 1/4 cûp fresh lemon jûìce
- 1 teáspoon lemon zest
- 3/4 cûp mìlk
- 3 to 4 drops lemon food colorìng ìf desìred)
- 1 táblespoon lemon zest
- 1/2 cûp fresh lemon jûìce
- 1 táblespoon cornstárch
- 6 táblespoon bûtter
- 3/4 cûp gránûláted sûgár
- 4 egg yolks, beáten
- 4 cûps confectìoners' sûgár
- 1 teáspoon lemon zest
- 1/2 cûp bûtter, softened
- 2 táblespoons fresh lemon jûìce
- 2 táblespoons mìlk
- chopped nûts, optìonál
Cáke :
- Preheát oven to 350 degrees F . Greáse ánd flour three 8 ìnch round bákìng páns.
- Mìx together the flour, bákìng powder, ánd sált. Set ásìde.
- Ïn á lárge bowl, creám together the butter ánd sugár untìl lìght ánd fluffy. Beát ìn the eggs one át á tìme, then stìr ìn the vánìllá.
- Beát ìn the flour mìxture álternátely wìth the mìlk, mìxìng just untìl ìncorporáted.
- Stìr ìn lemon juìce, lemon zest, ánd food colorìng ìf áddìng colorìng.
- Pour bátter ìnto prepáred páns. Báke ìn the preheáted oven for 30 mìnutes, or untìl á toothpìck ìnserted ìnto the center of the cáke comes out cleán.
- Allow to cool ìn páns on wìre rácks for 10 mìnutes. Then ìnvert onto wìre rácks to cool completely.
